I love building relationships with students. I also enjoy everything having to do with the college application process, from dispelling myths about what is really happening in the college admissions world to visiting colleges. What I love most about this career is that it allows me to work with students. My greatest hope is to minimize the stress and anxiety for my students and their parents. It really can be a very fun and enlightening process.

For many years I helped my own children and many of their friends with the college application process. I am also the proud mom and stepmom of five children:

Rachel, who earned a BA in History from UC Santa Cruz and a Masters in International Relations from Edinburgh, Scotland

Kelly, who earned a BA in Science, Technology and Society from the University of Pennsylvania and a MSc in Water Science, Policy and Management from Oxford

Megan, who earned a BA in Cultural Anthropology with a concentration in Public Health and is currently attending the London School of Economics working towards a MSc in Development Management

Niko, who earned a BA in Theology with a Leadership Certificate from the University of Portland in Oregon

Katya, who has graduated from UC Berkeley

As you can see every child is different and therefore had different needs when it came to picking the "Best Match" but they were all very happy at their chosen schools.

Once my youngest daughter started college I began taking classes at UC Irvine and started Best Match College Consulting. For the last 20 years I have been an avid public school volunteer. I served as the PTSA President at La Jolla High School, a founding member and at times chair of the La Jolla Cluster Association, VP of the Muirlands Middle School Foundation, among other jobs PTA President at La Jolla Elementary, PA President at High Tech Middle Media Arts and PA President at High Tech High.
